Petition about halting a marriage, 1928
In January 7, 1928, Sakinah Sultan Khanum, the daughter of Haj Muhammad Aqa the textile maker, was deceived into marrying Hasan Aqa. The writer and Aqa Mirza ‘Abd al-‘Ali were summoned to perform the marriage and they refused to proceed without permission from the girl's father, confiscated the mahr letter and returned the girl to her father's house.

Bihjat Khanum, daughter of the late Sayyid Muhammad, gives the power of attorney to Sayyid Sulayman in order to claim alimony and her mahr from her husband Tahmasb Khan, son of the late ‘Ali Mirza. Her husband has not paid any alimony since they married two years ago. Ayatollah Muhammad Ja‘far approves Bihjat Khanum's claims and rules against Tahmasb Khan, the husband.

Woman's murder, 1911
The body of the daughter of Haji Mulla Bashi from Taliqan was found by police. Her husband, Aqa Mirza Ibrahim from Taliqan, is arrested for her murder. He had been suspicious of his wife's relationship with his nephew, Hamid Allah, and asked her father to settle the mahr and agree to divorce. The second piece of news from a few days later is about Hamid Allah's arrest.

‘Azra's letter for confirming her marriage and mahr, 1935
Letter written by ‘Azra, daughter of Haj Mirza Husayn Sharif, to Mirza Sayyid Ahmad Pish-namaz [the prayer leader] requesting him to confirm her marriage to the late Mirza Muhammad Riza with a mahr of three hundred tumans, ten misqals [unit of weight] of gold, a Qurʼan worth five tumans, and ten misqals of silk. He confirms her claims and points out that she had settled one hundred and fifty tumans of her mahr with the late Mirza Muhammad Riza.
